What is a UZO challenge?

A simulated evaluation where you trade real live prices with simulated capital to prove your skill before you earn real rewards.

The short answer

A UZO challenge is a simulated trading evaluation. You trade against real, live market prices using simulated capital, working towards a clear set of objectives: a profit target and a set of risk limits. Clear them and you unlock a funded simulated account where you keep 90% of the profit you generate, one of the strongest profit shares available anywhere. No live capital is ever at risk, at any stage.

A challenge answers one question before any reward is on the line: can you trade with discipline? It is a measure of skill, not a fee for access. UZO offers two challenge formats, One Step and Two Step, so you may choose the path that suits how you trade.

Challenge and funded account

It helps to see a challenge as one stage of a two-stage journey. The challenge is the proving ground. The funded account is what you earn once you pass.

None yet. You are proving your skill.

Funded (simulated) account

Unlocked once you pass and complete identity verification.

You keep 90%, UZO keeps 10%, the same at every size.

Both stages run on the same engine, against the same real, live market prices. The only difference is what is at stake. The challenge shows you are ready; the funded account is where your results become rewards.

You keep 90%

On a funded account the split is 90% to you and 10% to UZO. It is the same on every product and at every account size, and it never changes as you scale, one of the most generous shares available anywhere. On One Step and Two Step, your evaluation fee is also refunded in full with your third reward.

One Step and Two Step at a glance

The two challenge formats differ mainly in how many phases stand between you and a funded account, and in the profit target you need to reach.

One Step is the more direct route: a single 6% target with no time pressure. Two Step spreads the same proof over two phases with a lower target in each, which suits traders who prefer a gentler pace. Neither format has a time limit or a minimum number of trading days, so you set your own pace. Two Step carries an 8% static maximum drawdown throughout. The exact drawdown figures for each plan are shown on your dashboard and in the live pricing on our site.

Drawdown is always measured on your account equity, which includes any open or floating profit and loss, and the daily limit resets at 00:00 UTC each day. That gives you a clear line to trade within at all times.

What you are proving

A challenge measures two things at once: that you can reach a profit target, and that you can do so while staying inside the risk limits. Reaching the target shows you can find an edge. Staying inside the drawdown limits shows you can protect capital when a trade moves against you. Both matter equally.

You are welcome to trade across all six markets UZO offers: forex, metals, crypto, indices, shares and energies, more than 1,300 instruments in total, with leverage of 1:100. You may trade overnight, over weekends and around the news.

UZO keeps the rules straightforward. There is a soft rule called the Best Day Rule: for any withdrawal, no single trading day may account for more than 20% of your total net profit in the current reward segment, meaning the profit earned since your last reward. It never breaches or fails your account. It only holds a withdrawal until your profit is spread more evenly, and once it balances, the withdrawal proceeds. Expert advisors, bots, custom indicators and copy trading are all welcome, provided they run with your own unique settings and only on accounts you personally own. What is not permitted is anything that games the simulation rather than reflecting genuine trading skill: latency and HFT arbitrage, tick exploitation and tick scalping.

Identity verification comes after you pass

You do not verify your identity to start a challenge. Once you pass, identity verification is completed through our identity-verification partner before your funded account is activated. You must be the person shown on your own documents throughout, and rewards are paid only to a bank account or crypto wallet held in your own name.

A test that is fair by design

Every rule that governs a challenge is published in full and applies the same way to everyone. Nothing is hidden and nothing changes once you begin. The profit target is achievable and the drawdown limits are generous, so a trader who follows a plan has a clear and honest path to a funded account.

Reaching the target shows an edge; staying inside the limits shows control. Clear both and the 90% split on the other side is yours to keep. Everything about the challenge is built to give a capable trader a fair chance to pass.

Next steps

If a challenge sounds right for you, the decision is which format fits your style and pace. If you would rather skip the evaluation and trade funded from the outset, our Instant accounts are the alternative path.
