The short answer
Keep your account inside its daily drawdown and maximum drawdown limits, trade it as you would a real account rather than gaming the simulation, and place at least one trade every 35 days. Do that and your funded account stays active. There is no deadline to reach a target once you are funded, and the only soft rule, the Best Day Rule, can delay a withdrawal but never closes your account.
Good standing is straightforward. UZO does not look for reasons to close accounts, and there are no hidden traps. Three things keep you funded: respecting your risk limits, keeping the account active, and trading the market rather than the platform. Everything below explains exactly what each of those means.
The limits that keep your account active
Your funded account carries two drawdown limits, and these are the lines that matter most. Stay on the right side of both at all times and the account remains active.
Daily drawdown. The most your equity may fall within a single trading day. It resets every day at 00:00 UTC, so each new day begins with a fresh allowance. The exact percentage depends on your product and is shown on your dashboard.
Maximum drawdown. The total your account may fall from its reference point before the account is closed. On some products this is a static floor, on others it trails your equity upward as you make progress.
Because the thresholds differ by product, always read the live figures on your dashboard rather than relying on memory. Your dashboard shows the precise daily and maximum drawdown levels for your specific account, updated in real time.
The single rule of thumb
If a position or a run of losses would push your equity below either drawdown line, that is the moment to manage risk. The limits are visible on your dashboard precisely so you never have to guess.
The account is yours, and only yours
Your funded account belongs to you alone. Verification is completed by you, in your own name, and you must be the same person shown on your identity documents throughout. One person holds one account. You may not trade an account registered to anyone else, nor hand yours to another person to trade.
Rewards are paid only to a bank account or cryptocurrency wallet held in your own name and matching your verified identity. We do not pay a third party, a company account in a different name, or another person's wallet. Should a name not match, the reward is simply held until it is corrected, and nothing is lost. Keeping the account and its rewards tied to one verified identity is what protects your earnings and keeps every result genuinely yours.
Behaviour that voids a funded account
A funded account can be closed regardless of drawdown if you trade in ways that exploit the simulated environment rather than the market. UZO runs on real live prices, and the rules exist to keep every result honest. Examples of prohibited conduct include:
Latency or high-frequency (HFT) arbitrage that profits from feed timing rather than genuine market movement.
Tick-exploit or tick-scalping strategies that target artefacts of the price feed.
Exploiting platform, data or pricing errors, such as stale quotes or frozen feeds.
Arbitrage of any kind, martingale and grid systems, hedging and group hedging, and one-sided all-or-nothing bets.
Rolling a position across the daily reset to dodge the daily drawdown, or contract flipping to farm minimum trading days.
Copy trading between different people's accounts, group or team trading, signal services, and pass-your-challenge or account-management services.
Account sharing or reselling, emulators, and any technique whose purpose is to game the simulation rather than trade the underlying market.
These are examples rather than the complete list. The full set of prohibited strategies is published in our prohibited-strategies article. What they all have in common has nothing to do with being a fast or active trader; it is whether your edge comes from the market or from exploiting how the platform is built. Should an account be reset for using a prohibited strategy, a 50% deduction is applied to the next and all ongoing withdrawals from that same account. Trade the real price action and none of this comes near you.
What is explicitly allowed
UZO is deliberately permissive on legitimate trading. You do not need permission to use any of the following, and none of them count against your standing:
Expert Advisors (EAs) and automated trading bots, run with your own distinctive settings.
Custom indicators and your own analytical tools.
Copy trading between accounts you personally own.
News trading, holding positions overnight, and trading over the weekend where your product allows it.
The Best Day Rule, and how it keeps rewards fair
There is one soft rule, the Best Day Rule, and it affects withdrawals only, never your account standing. When you request a withdrawal, no single trading day may account for more than 20% of your total net profit in the current reward segment, meaning the profit earned since your last reward. On One Step, Two Step, Instant and Instant Pro the rule can never breach or close an account. If your profit is concentrated in one day, the request is simply held until your results are more evenly spread, after which the withdrawal proceeds. Nothing is lost.
Instant 24h uses the Best Trade Rule instead, where no single trade may exceed 15% of that profit. Because an Instant 24h session closes automatically at the end of its 24 hour window, a single trade above 15% means the account runs to the end of the window and closes with no reward generated, rather than breaching part way through. The purpose of both rules is the same: to keep every reward a reflection of genuine, sustained trading.
How the trailing drawdown helps you stay in good standing
On One Step, Instant and Instant Pro the trailing drawdown is built to protect the progress you have already earned. As your account grows, your maximum drawdown floor trails your equity upward, and once your account has grown by the trailing percentage the floor locks at your starting balance. Two Step works differently: it uses a static maximum drawdown that never moves. Instant 24h also trails your equity upward, but its trailing drawdown never locks.
In plain terms, on the locking products, once the floor has locked a difficult run cannot wipe out the progress that has already been secured. It removes the worst-case scenario where a single rough stretch undoes weeks of disciplined trading. The trailing drawdown works automatically in your favour, and there is nothing to switch on.
Staying active
There is no deadline to reach a target once you are funded, so you may trade at your own pace. The one requirement is that the account is used: place at least one trade within any 35 day period to keep it active. An account left with no activity for 35 days is closed automatically, so if you plan to be away, a single trade before you go keeps everything in good standing.
Good-standing checklist
Do this | Avoid this |
Stay within daily drawdown (resets 00:00 UTC) | Latency or HFT arbitrage |
Stay within maximum drawdown | Tick-exploit or tick-scalping |
Trade at least once every 35 days | Any method that games the simulation |
Keep the account and its rewards in your own name | Account sharing, reselling or third-party trading |
Use EAs, bots, indicators and own-account copy trading freely | Concentrating most of your profit in a single day (it can delay a withdrawal) |
If you are unsure about a strategy
Should you be uncertain whether an approach is allowed, the safe test is simple: does your edge come from the market, or from the way the platform processes prices? Market-driven strategies are welcome. Anything designed to exploit feed timing or simulation mechanics is not.
When in doubt, ask before you trade it. Reach our team at [email protected] and we will give you a straight answer. We would always rather confirm in advance than see a good account closed over a misunderstanding.
